Let’s Win at Parenting: Monthly Themes + Space Month

Being a parent is pure chaos. We have the best of intentions, but let’s be real; it can be nearly impossible to feel like you’re winning as a parent. Kids have a way of throwing a wrench in the most carefully planned days. It’s hard to unload the dishwasher somedays, let alone feel like we’re doing everything we can to prepare our children for the best possible future.

After having “one of those days,” we were inspired to map out some of the key life lessons we wanted to share with our kids. We came up with the idea of having a theme for each month and it was liberating to know that even if the month got away from us and we weren’t able to meet the impossible bar we’ve set for ourselves of being “great parents,” we’d still have a sense of accomplishment.

Teaching your kids about the world, values and perspectives and building their confidence is one of the most rewarding parts of being a parent. We encourage you to take some time to map out what’s important to you and your family! You’ll have some memorable adventures and priceless conversations, we promise! Feel free to borrow any of our ideas for inspiration!

We got some of our ideas from this encyclopedia that our family LOVES. Check it out!
